“But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” 1 Corinthians 12:24-26

Redeemer Church, as the body of Christ, has many parts. If we think of the preaching of the Word as the nervous system, missions as the muscular system, prayer as the respiratory system, discipleship as the skeletal system, and giving as the circulatory system – then Congregational Care is the immune system. We seek to respond with healing and hope to the parts of Christ’s body that hurt.

WHAT ARE CARE TEAMS?
Care Teams are one of Redeemer’s efforts to help our church be attentive and responsive to one another’s needs. Here’s a brief overview of how Care Teams function in the Body:

- Each member will have an assigned elder: a leader in the church who is available to you and responsible for your spiritual shepherding
- Each elder will be joined by a Care Team of deacons, men, and women in our congregation.
- One member of the Care Team (your Care Advocate) will be assigned to you to pray for and check-in with you regularly.
