Discussion Questions

WHAT (what did we learn from God’s Word?)

• What happened when Jesus died? (The Sun quit working, the curtain in the temple tore, an unbeliever saw who Jesus really was, and people’s hearts broke)
• Where was the curtain in the temple, and what was it for? (In between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. It was there to separate God’s throne room (where the Ark of the Covenant stood) from the rest of the temple.)
• How many times a year could the High Priest go behind the curtain? (Once

SO WHAT? (Why does it matter?)

• How many times a year can you “go through the curtain” to be with God? (Infinity times infinity! Whenever you want and need!)
• Why can you go into God’s house and be with Him anytime? (Because Jesus was the last sacrifice: no more blood, only forgiveness and grace for those who repent and believe)

NOW WHAT? (What difference does it make in my life?)

• Talk as a family about what it means to “go into God’s house.” Is it important for you to gather for worship – whether at home or in the church building? How can you love and be loved by your brothers, sisters, moms, dads, and grandparents in God’s House?

PRAYER TIME (“TAG Time”)

• TELL: Tell God how you feel, tell Him the things you are thankful for, tell Him how much you need Him (confess your sins)
• ASK: Ask God for what you need, ask Him to help you and others
• GIVE: Give God glory, honor, and praise!
