Markese Lee is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Though he didn’t grow up in a Christian home, God’s grace led him to a life-changing encounter with Jesus during his time at Belhaven University. While at Belhaven, Markese was involved in the leadership of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), where he grew in his faith and leadership skills.

Markese also served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for six years, and graduated from Belhaven in the spring of 2024 with a degree in psychology, after initially studying biology for three years.

After graduation, Markese began the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Reformed Theological Seminary, but soon felt a clear calling to pastoral ministry. He switched to the Master of Divinity program, where he’s currently studying.

In his free time, Markese enjoys ultra-running, weightlifting, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Emily. He has a deep passion for apologetics and loves diving into topics like philosophy, theology, and science.
