Joya serves as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at Redeemer Church. She is from Cayce, Mississippi, but if you ask her she’ll say outside of Memphis, Tennessee.
Joya graduated from the University of Mississippi, where she met her husband Jajuan. They have two children, Janai and Jajuan II. They joined Redeemer in 2017 after they moved to the Jackson area the previous year.
Before becoming the Children’s Ministry Assistant in April 2021, Joya volunteered in various capacities at the church in both women and children’s ministry.
