Jajuan is the Director of Children’s Ministry at Redeemer Church. He was born in Gary, IN, and was raised in Oxford, MS. Jajuan holds a Bachelors degree in Magazine Service Journalism and Public Relations and a Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi.
While at the University of Mississippi, Jajuan was discipled and walked through daily life by a good friend and barber, Thomas Campbell. They talked through books of the Bible and how he could apply the truths of the faith to his singleness then as a husband to his relationship with his bride. From those conversations, Jajuan and his good friend started an afterschool program in an underserved area of Oxford. They moved into the area and attempted to live intentionally with mostly elementary-aged kids and families.
As a Redeemer member, Jajuan has been involved with children’s ministry, mentoring and coaching in a variety of contexts including Sunday School Teacher, Disability Ministry Buddy, and Upside Down Leader.
Jajuan and Joya met during their college years and were married one week to the day that Jajuan finished his graduate degree on May 18, 2013. They have two children: Cali and Deuce.
