Growing up in Glasgow, Scotland, David completed a B.A. in Classics and Philosophy at the University of Glasgow in 2013. While at university he served in campus ministry and spent his summers working with SIM in South Sudan.

After working in youth ministry and farming, David moved to North Africa in 2015 to study Arabic. He then moved to South Sudan and worked with SIM in their efforts to assist and equip the South Sudanese church. In 2018 he moved to the Middle East to study for an M.A. in Political Science before moving to Jackson, Mississippi in the Fall of 2019 to begin work on his M.Div. at Reformed Theological Seminary. David enjoys the outdoors, soccer, and American cheeseburgers.
