- This event has passed.
This summer our Wednesday Fellowship Potlucks have fostered hospitality, connectedness, and belonging. On July 31, our last potluck of the Summer will give us the opportunity to get to know Jerome Douglas, our new Director of Neighborhood Outreach and Missions.
What: Wednesday Fellowship Potluck
Date: July 31
Location: Fellowship Hall
Purpose: To eat together. There might be an announcement or two, but there’s no program. Our goal is to build relationships and cultivate the rhythm of being together. You can see old friends and make new ones.
Childcare? This is an event for the whole family, so no childcare is needed. We can talk together while kids run around. In fact, your kids may want to eat with other kids!
Style: Potluck. Everybody’s bringing something to the table (literally), and you can practice generosity as time and resources allow. You’ll bless others whether you spend an hour or two in the kitchen or swing by the store on the way from work. And no one is judging anyone on the quality of their casserole—or their Pringles.
What do I bring? On July 31, if your LAST NAME starts with…
A-I: bring a side
J-Q: bring a dessert
R-Z: bring a main dish
How much should I bring? Your quantity should feed your people. Bring enough that if everyone coming with you were eating only that thing, they would have enough to eat. (Though that would be really boring so we’ll share our food with each other…)
Cleanup: Many hands make light work. Let’s all pitch in at the end of the meal to return the room to the condition in which we found it.
Time: 6:00-7:00pm
But here’s the thing: please be as close to 6:00pm as possible so that everyone can partake of what you bring.
