We want to meet practical needs that arise inside Redeemer’s body, in our parish, or in our city, and we want to build a habit of service among Redeemer’s members by organizing monthly service opportunities.
When: January 20, 9:00am – 12:00pm
Where: Redeemer Church Fellowship Hall or 608 Wellington Rd. Brown House across from side parking lot at Redeemer. Park at church.
What: Join us for January’s Saturday Serve Day!
We need lots of volunteers to help with 2 big jobs at the church in January: Option #1 — Re-organization of storage areas at the church; Option #2 — Painting walls @ 608 Wellington Rd. More details of each task are below. Serve days are for anyone at the church — members, regular attendees, visitors, youth — anyone! Families with young kids are welcomed and encouraged to join as well. Kids have. a good time and learn lots when they see adults serving together.
Option #1 — There are many large banquet tables at the church that need a home to live in. Task #1 will involve getting the storage area ready to receive those and moving them into place. There are other storage organization tasks as well, so we need people who like to make order out of chaos in addition to people who like to haul heavy things.
Option #2 — The goal is to use 608 Wellington Rd. as a space where groups from the church can meet. It is almost finished! The serve team will finish painting ceilings, walls, and floors & stage house for meetings. We need people with a heart to serve, attention to detail, and the willingness to get a little messy in the process. Bring paint clothes and any paint supplies you are willing to use — angles brushes for cutting in, rollers, trays, cups, etc!
