Ellie Wise Craven is a native of Washington state. She moved to Mississippi in 2010 to attend Belhaven University, where she earned a Bachelors in Music. While studying there, Ellie truly experienced the love and faithfulness of Christ and fully devoted herself to His will in her life. She then earned a Masters in Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi, which gave her the opportunity to tour and perform across the US and Europe as a member of the Southern Chorale.
After getting married and moving back to Jackson, Ellie started using her gifts and training to teach music, both as an elementary music teacher and a choir director. She has always felt the joy and importance of corporate and collaborative worship in all musical styles and traditions, and hopes to always use these gifts and training to help God’s people “make a joyful noise!”.
Ellie is married to Joseph Craven. The two feel called to love the city of Jackson and reside in Fondren with their two dogs, Radar and Bubba.
