Seth Shannon

Seth was born and raised in Iowa, which is why he talks like that. By God’s grace he was blessed with godly parents who taught him biblical truth and nurtured his faith.

After finishing school, Seth moved to Jackson and found Redeemer Church. He became a member in 2010 and has been immeasurably blessed by the preaching, teaching, fellowship, and praise he’s experienced here. He’s currently part of Redeemer Engaging Disabilities and Saturday Serve and has previously been involved in Mission to Broadmoor, tutoring, nursery, and hosting a Growth Group. He also takes credit for his sister, Marina, being at Redeemer, so you can thank him for that.

Seth has been blessed by his marriage to Avery, with whom he has two sons: Theodore (7) and Jonah (4). In his career, Seth is the Director of Legal Aid at Mission First, a faith-based nonprofit organization in Jackson. Seth desires to obey God’s command to love others and serve the vulnerable.
