Brent Kooi

After more than two years, Australia’s borders are finally re-opened and Brent Kooi will be able to get onto the mission field. He plans to attend General Assembly in June with the team leader to recruit additional missionaries, short term teams, and interns. After General Assembly, he will return to Iowa to visit with family and head to Australia at the beginning of July.

Reflecting on the two years of waiting for borders to reopen and the ministry opportunities Brent had in the meantime, he writes: “Two years is like a single moment to our eternal God. He has been sovereign throughout the pandemic. While we may have felt like we’d lost all control, God never did. And really, we never had any real control anyway! All we are called to do is wait for the Lord– to trust that he knows best, and is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28).”

Praise the Lord that he has opened the door for ministry in Australia and for Brent’s ministry in the US while he waited. Pray for him as he travels and transitions, and the many tasks he needs to accomplish before he can leave.
