For the next few weeks, we’ll turn our attention to areas of the world in crisis. This week, we’re praying for Yemen, a middle eastern nation that is currently experiencing a humanitarian crisis due to civil war. In addition to violence, the nation is struggling with food insecurity (leading to famine/starvation in some areas) and a cholera outbreak. As with most national crises, the hardest hit are the poor and the vulnerable, particularly children.
Please pray that the current conflict would resolve quickly through peaceful means and that a sustainable and beneficial infrastructure would be restored. Pray also for the most vulnerable that aid and resources would be readily available and accessible. Pray in particular for our brothers and sisters in Christ that God would sustain, strengthen, and comfort them in all that they face.
