Jenell Chavis, Pearson Foundation in Pearl

Pray with us this week for fellow Redeemer member Jenell Chavis! Jenell works for the Pearson Foundation, a ministry that provides in-school mentoring and after-school tutoring/mentoring services to (primarily though not exclusively) historically disadvantaged youth in the Jackson metro area. The Foundation serves and operates under a “prayer, care, share” lifestyle meaning they pray for, care for, and share the gospel of Christ with all those who use their services. Jenell performs a variety of functions such as conducting tutoring/mentoring sessions, communicating with donors, and researching/pursuing grant opportunities, to name a few.

Please pray with Jenell that
– their students will grow in the knowledge of Jesus and that many will come to know, love, and serve him
– parents will take an active role in their child’s education and they, too, will come to know the Lord through their child’s participation in our program
– God will provide financially so that they can continue their work
