Grant Callen, Elder

A native of Laurel, MS, Grant Callen grew up in a Christian home and was saved as a small child. He is the second of ten children and was homeschooled until college. He attended Belhaven University for his undergraduate work—where he met his wife Page—and Regent University in Virginia for graduate school.

From a young age, Grant felt a calling on his life to work to improve Mississippi through the public policy process. So in 2014, Grant founded the nonprofit advocacy organization Empower Mississippi, where he currently serves as President and CEO. Grant and Page have been married for 13 years, have five children (Freeman, Kate, Rebecca, Harrison, and Caroline), and live in Madison. They have been at Redeemer since 2005, where Grant has served as a deacon for the last nine years.

In his free time, Grant likes to run, read, and hunt—all solitary activities—because, well, he has five kids.
