Detrick Johnson, Deacon

Detrick Johnson was born in Jackson MS, and raised by his mom and dad in Clinton, MS. He studied psychology at Belhaven University and graduated in 2011. In 2013, he began working at Mississippi Department of Wildlife and he currently serves there as a Computer Analyst in the Information Technology Department.

Detrick grew up in a Methodist church, where his dad helped lead as Associate Pastor for many years. However, at age twenty-one he submitted to the authority of Christ, and came to faith as a Junior at Belhaven. From there, he began seeking how to love Christ and His Church in local communities.

Detrick has been a member at Redeemer Church for five years and has served in various ways including volunteering at Upside Down, leading a Pipeline men’s study, and serving on the Pipeline Leadership Committee. In his free time, he enjoys reading and attending musical festivities.
