Symeon grew up in Jackson where he studied piano, eventually playing both piano and organ for his family’s church. He graduated from Jackson State University with a Music Education degree and has played organ and piano in various churches, recorded instrumental tracks on several studio projects, and has accompanied professional and semi-professional musicians and singers over the years. A twelve-year veteran in education, he currently works as a middle school choral music teacher.

Symeon and his wife, Candace, have worked together in the music ministry at church but also direct a choir of 3 children at home. He believes that music is a gift that was given for man’s enjoyment and God’s glory.

When not working, Symeon enjoys an array of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, falconry, dog training, horseback riding, and anything else that’s he’s afforded an opportunity to try.
