The garden is a space for community and collaboration\, for creation care and soul care\, and for learning and networking. Help with regular maintenance: weeding\, fertilizing\, pruning and harvesting. We’ll also prepare new beds and plant new veggies. Finally\, there are some ongoing special projects that we will work on during these days: a) running irrigation lines from a rain-water collection system and designing & building said rain water collection system; b) completing the fence gates for street-side perimeter fence; c) building a garden kiosk to share veggies and promote community events; d) building a privacy fence; e) building & designing an enhanced kids play area. All ages and skill levels are welcome. \nWhen: Wednesday\, June 24\, 5:30-7:00pm\nWhere: Art & Soil Community Garden at the corner of Londonderry Dr. and Robinhood Rd\nContact: Sylvia Legette \nPlease sign up below: \n\n\n \n \n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Cell Phone(Required)Email(Required)\n \n Can you or anyone you know help with these upcoming projects?\n \n \n Installing an irrigation system\n \n \n \n Completing the fence gates for street-side perimeter fence\n \n \n \n Building a garden kiosk to share veggies and promote community events\n \n \n \n Building a privacy fence\n \n \n \n Building & designing an enhanced kids play area.\n \n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ URL:https://redeemerjackson.com/event/community-garden-workday-40/ CATEGORIES:Featured,Outreach ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://redeemerjackson.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Copy-of-Whats-good-for-the-soil-is-good-for-the-soul-2.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20260624T180000 DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20260624T190000 DTSTAMP:20260504T155529Z CREATED:20260504T205446Z LAST-MODIFIED:20260504T155529Z UID:23863-1782324000-1782327600@redeemerjackson.com SUMMARY:Summer Fellowship Potluck DESCRIPTION:During the summer\, the calendar at Redeemer slows and we take a break from our regular rhythms to rest. Wednesday Fellowship Potlucks give us a simple and easy time together to stay connected. \nDates: June 24\, July 8\, July 22.\nLocation: Fellowship Hall\nPurpose: To eat together. There might be an announcement or two\, but there’s no program. Our goal is to build relationships and cultivate the rhythm of being together. You can see old friends and make new ones.\nChildcare? This is an event for the whole family\, so no childcare is needed. We can talk together while kids run around. In fact\, your kids may want to eat with other kids!\nStyle: Potluck. Everybody’s bringing something to the table (literally)\, and you can practice generosity as time and resources allow. You’ll bless others whether you spend an hour or two in the kitchen or swing by the store on the way from work. And no one is judging anyone on the quality of their casserole—or their Pringles.\nWhat do I bring? On June 24\, if your LAST NAME starts with…\nA-I: bring a main dish\nJ-Q: bring a side\nR-Z: bring a dessert\nHow much should I bring? Your quantity should feed your people. Bring enough that if everyone coming with you were eating only that thing\, they would have enough to eat. (Though that would be really boring so we’ll share our food with each other…)\nCleanup: Many hands make light work. Let’s all pitch in at the end of the meal to return the room to the condition in which we found it.\nTime: 6:00-7:00pm\nBut here’s the thing: please be as close to 6:00pm as possible so that everyone can partake of what you bring.
