In college\, he met Keren\, who is from the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent. Keren is the eldest daughter of Dr. Walford Thompson and Jenness Thompson\, former members of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church where Walford was an elder. \nMike and Keren were married in 1987 at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church and have three grown children. \nMike did graduate studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton\, Massachusetts finishing his Master of Divinity degree at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis\, Missouri. After graduation in May 1992\, the Campbells moved to Miami\, Florida\, where Mike worked for five years with Ministries in Action\, Inc.\, a non-denominational mission agency focused on the Caribbean Islands and Latin America. His primary responsibility was as Director of Project Ebenezer\, which sent short term mission teams to holistic community based projects in churches throughout the Caribbean. At that time\, Mike and Keren became members at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church where Mike taught a thriving adult Sunday school class and served for a time as a ruling elder. \nIn 1997 Mike became the pastor of Pinelands Presbyterian Church in Cutler Ridge\, Florida. In his seven-year tenure\, the church went through a time of exciting growth and revitalization including building a new sanctuary. In 2004\, Mike\, with Keren and their three children\, moved to Jackson\, Mississippi\, where he assumed the role of organizing pastor and then senior pastor of Redeemer Church PCA. Under his leadership the church grew rapidly into a strong and vibrant multiethnic congregation. Mike was also the driving force in launching Redeemer’s urban Christian elementary school called The Redeemer’s School\, which provides an excellent Christian education to underprivileged children in the city of Jackson. In July 2015\, Mike was called back to Miami and Old Cutler Presbyterian Church as their Senior Pastor. \nMike received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in May 2014\, the emphasis of his study being on the church and the city with a specific focus on diverse cultural inclusion through the gospel. Mike has a passion for impacting all people with the truths of the Reformed faith and the life changing power of the gospel.

This is a great opportunity for families to serve as well! \nThis is a night for parents with children touched by disability to take a night off while we provide respite care for their children. We will have volunteers help care for the children (disabled children and their siblings). We are planning to have food\, games\, crafts\, and a Bible lesson for the kids. There will be a sign-up for both families touched by disability needing respite and for volunteers helping make this event possible. \n\n \n \n RED Families Touched by Disability Respite Night RSVP\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Phone(Required)Family Info: How many children (Include ages)\, Info about child(ren) touched by disability\n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n \n RED Volunteer Respite Night\, Jun 2023\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Phone(Required)How many adults?How many kids? SUMMARY:Beautiful Community Seminar
DESCRIPTION:As Redeemer celebrates 18 years of God’s faithfulness\, we are bringing in Dr. Irwyn Ince. He will preach on Sunday\, Feb 5\, but on Friday and Saturday\, he will lead us in a Seminar on Beautiful Community. \nThis seminar will be based on his book\, The Beautiful Community\, as he roots and grounds the theological foundation of the multiethnic church in the character of our triune God. He’ll help us think about unity\, diversity\, and the church\, at it’s best. \nIrwyn’s book may sound familiar to Redeemer members. We discussed it in the summer of 2021\, as part of a church-wide book discussion. \nSchedule\nFriday\, Feb 3\n5:45-6:30: Dinner together\n6:30-7:45: Kickoff & Session 1\n7:45-8:00: Corporate time of prayer \nSaturday\, Feb 4\n9:00-9:30: Coffee/Light breakfast\n9:30:00-10:15: Session 2\n10:15-10:45: Breakout/Discussion Groups\n10:45-11:30: Session 3 \nLocation\nFellowship Hall \nSession Titles\nSession 1: Designed for Beautiful Community\nSession 2: Destined for Beautiful Community\nSession 3: Delighting in Beautiful Community \nChildren\n0-3\, Nursery provided\nFri: please drop your child off with a packed dinner\nSat: please drop your child off with a breakfast snack\nk4-3rd\, Children’s Program\nFri: eat with main group\, then separate\nSat: please drop your child off with a favorite snack without nuts\n4th & up\, Bring them with you \n\n \n \n Beautiful Community Sign Up\n Sign up here so we know how to prepare! \n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email*\n \n Number of Adults attending (include kids 4th grade & up):*Number of Children k4-3rdNumber for Nursery\, 0-3We plan to come for:\n \n Select All\n \n \n Friday Dinner\n \n \n Friday Evening Session\n \n \n Saturday Morning Sessions\n \n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ

SUMMARY:Upside Down
DESCRIPTION:Upside Down began with this conviction: God’s word – by the work of the Holy Spirit and in the context of Christian Community – changes kids from the inside out and turns their worlds upside down. \nFor 10-12 weeks each school semester\, our trained/screened mentors lead kids through memory making activities (Bible/Catechism memory\, eating\, playing\, and singing) to disciple them towards repentance and faith in Jesus\, build relationships with them\, and encourage them to pursue spiritual\, social\, and emotional growth. \nAbout 50% of our Upside Down children are visitors from the community. What a phenomenal opportunity for our church to be a blessing to our community through evangelism and discipleship! \nWhen: Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm\, beginning Jan 25\, 2023- April 26-2023; Spring Break on March 15.\nWho: K4 – 5th grade\nWhere: Redeemer Church Sanctuary/All Classrooms. Drop-off/pick-up at the Sanctuary entrance/front parking lot (follow signs and traffic attendants in the front parking lot for car-pool line. Attendants will radio for your child and bring them straight to your car)\nAdditional Information: Pizza provided for children and volunteers. Nursery provided for volunteers. \nQuestions: Contact Jajuan McNeil at Mrmcneil@redeemerjackson.com
