DESCRIPTION:Let’s begin 2024 with a Fellowship Meal to foster hospitality\, connectedness\, and belonging! \nWhat: Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal\nDates: January 17\, 2024\nLocation: Fellowship Hall\nPurpose: To eat together. There might be an announcement or two\, but there’s no program. Our goal is to build relationships and cultivate the rhythm of being together. You can see old friends and make new ones.\nChildcare? This is an event for the whole family\, so no childcare is needed. We can talk together while kids run around. In fact\, your kids may want to eat with other kids!\nStyle: Pot Luck. Everybody’s bringing something to the table (literally)\, and you can practice generosity as time and resources allow. You’ll bless others whether you spend an hour or two in the kitchen or swing by the store on the way from work. And no one is judging anyone on the quality of their casserole—or their Pringles.\nWhat do I bring? On January 17\, if your LAST NAME starts with…\nA-I: bring a dessert\nJ-Q: bring a main dish\nR-Z: bring a side\nHow much should I bring? Your quantity should feed your people. Bring enough that if everyone coming with you were eating only that thing\, they would have enough to eat. (Though that would be really boring so we’ll share our food with each other…)\nCleanup: Many hands make light work. Let’s all pitch in at the end of the meal to return the room to the condition in which we found it.\nTime: 6:00-7:00pm\nBut here’s the thing: please be as close to 6:00pm as possible so that everyone can partake of what you bring.

DESCRIPTION:In preparation for the launch of the Faith & Finances financial literacy course\, Hope Exchange equips volunteers to serve as supportive allies for the duration of the 12-week course. We offer best practices for thriving in relationships across dividing lines\, clarify the scope of the volunteer role\, and answer questions. You do not have to be a financial expert to serve in this role. Competency in personal finances is sufficient.
