“World Missions” includes all missionaries and mission organizations that are outside the United States. Many are affiliated with Mission to the World (MTW), the foreign missions agency of the Presbyterian Church in America, but a number of them are affiliated with other churches or agencies, and some are independent.
Below is a list of the missionaries and organizations around the world that are supported by Redeemer Church. You are encouraged to get to know them through their bios here on the Redeemer website and to email them to let them know they are in your prayers.

Update: PRAYER WARRIOR UPDATE XVIII
DURING THE WAR IN LIBERIA one of our graduates from Ghana wrote us:
“I had a dream that there were angels with flaming swords guarding the African Bible College Campus. They surrounded the campus and protected it from intruders.” I think this was true, because for 5 YEARS, African Bible College remained untouched and unharmed. And then, for some unknown reason, those angels must have dropped their swords and everything was destroyed on that campus.
IT IS MY HOPE THAT YOU PRAYER WARRIORS HAVE NOT DROPPED YOUR SWORDS! It has been too long since you received Prayer Requests from Africa! Nevertheless, your prayers are still needed and relied upon!
You prayed for our trip to Liberia for the Dedication of the RESTORED AFRICAN BIBLE COLLEGE! We were privileged to participate in a program that truly glorified God. FRANKLIN GRAHAM gave the Keynote address. His message was clear and inspiring: “May this college always keep BIBLE at the center of the curriculum and not fall away as so many of the colleges in America have done”. You may find a video clip of this service on the Internet: you have to sign up to be a free member of Vimeo: http//vimeo.com/22031023
Franklin Graham also held a 3 day Crusade in the capital city of Monrovia attended by thousands of eager Liberians. When the call for commitment to Christ was given, hundreds of people literally RAN to the front if that huge stadium. On Sunday, Jack and I and Del and Becky were invited to attend Devotions with Franklin Graham’s Team which had accompanied him from the States and then to have the opportunity afterwards to have a private lunch with him. As he flew out that evening at 9 p.m. after the last meeting, in his private plane (which he flies himself), in order to make a trip to Alaska the following day, we marveled at the goodness of God to follow such a godly and influential man such a Billy Graham with a son like Franklin who is willing to carry on with the Great Mission his father began - that of getting this Gospel into all the world.
JACK AND I will “hit the road again” the end of this month. Traveling in and out of Africa is never easy. It took us 24 hours from the time we left the ABC Guest House in Monrovia to reach the ABC campus in Malawi! It was a long 24 hours on Kenya Airways. It will take us that long to reach St. Louis , Mo. where Marion and Steve are living while they are on furlough. PLEASE PRAY FOR US as we will begin a busy schedule of graduations and weddings and speaking opportunities!
YOUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED! ANNABELLE HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AT BIOLA UNIVERSITY (where six of our children went and many of them met their husbands or wives). She has also been offered a Swimming Scholarship at Biola and Concordia University. Thank you so much for praying for her!
‘THE BOOK”…so many of you have asked me to write is now in the hands of a publisher in Scotland, ‘CHRISTIAN FOCUS’..Their words to Charlie Rodrigues, (my literary agent) were: “we are KEEN to pursue it!!” Sounds quite British, doesn’t it?
Still lots of malaria, flu, colds here in Malawi. Please pray for our staff and students, especially as one of our students recently died with cerebral malaria.
Also, as the school year comes to a close, for the health and strength of our faculty at the college and the Academy with their many responsibilities.
Thank you so much for being a part of the ABC Team. “The effectual, fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much!” ( James 5:16b)

BRIEF HISTORY: The first African Bible College campus was opened in 1978 in the West African country of Liberia. In 1991 African Bible College opened its second college in the Central African country of Malawi, and fourteen years later the third college campus was opened in East Africa’s equatorial country of Uganda in 2005.
In God’s providence the door to Malawi opened in 1988 when ABC was registered with the Malawi government. By November of that year three missionary families were on the ground in Lilongwe to begin work on the new college.
African Bible College has made every effort to establish in Malawi not only the highest academic standards and to provide the most qualified professors, but also to develop the finest facilities. The 24-building campus includes six residence dormitories, seven staff houses, a 12,000-volume library, a 20-station computer lab, a dining hall, a modern communications building, and the country’s only sports gymnasium.

Educating Africans for Christ
Mailing Address: P.O. Box 5303, Jackson, MS 39296 •

Web page: http://www.educatingafricansforchrist.org
e-mail: admin@eafc.net
Educating Africans for Christ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry set up to partner with evangelical African churches and/or ministries for equipping Africans to be missionaries to their own cultures. The purpose of EAFC is to equip those with calling from God to do whatever work God has called them to for His glory.
EAFC is leadership development. We serve evangelical churches in Africa by working with them to train Christian men and women to serve in their churches and communities. Currently, we have students studying in over ten countries; however, the students are from 18 different countries.
EAFC offers partial tuition scholarships rather than full scholarships. We believe that when money and time are invested, a sense of ownership and responsibility follows. The church as well as EAFC invests in the student and his/her training. As a result the student is supported both economically and spiritually in their training and future ministry.
Dale & Kathy Hollenbeck – Uganda (MTW)
Hello from Uganda!
Thanks for your prayers for the recent mission in Kasese. Below, please find an update. Thanks for your continued prayers for our ministry.
1. Praise God for a successful time at the Kasese Mission. Dale and Kathy both spoke at the marriage seminar which was attended by 80 participants. There were many more women than men, so one prayer request would be that more husbands would take time to attend such events for enriching their marriages. Dale preached once in an open air crusade at the outdoor market. Many people were touched by his message, emphasizing the grace of God. On Sunday, Dale preached twice at the Cathedral. We praise God for this opportunity to preach and teach in South Rwenzori Diocese. On Sunday, a drunkard came forward and confessed his sin. He had been an active church member at one time, but had fallen into the sin of drunkenness. He rededicated his life to Christ during the mission.
2. Over the last several years, over 2000 mslms have committed their lives to Christ through the work of the mission department of South Rwenzori Diocese. In our experience, this is quite unique in the Anglican church in Uganda. Often when mslms convert, they are chased from their homes. This brings in many challenges of finding housing and jobs for the newly converted. Pray for the Ugandan mission team involved in this vital work that they would not grow weary amidst all of the challenges and that God would supply their every need. Pray that they would not face opposition from the mslm community and that the vital work will continue.
3. Praise God for the ABIDE discipleship program that is winding up this week. The graduation will be held tomorrow – Sunday, July 17th. As one of the teachers, Dale has really enjoyed this group of young men. Last week the entire ABIDE student body from Mbarara and Kabale came to our house for dinner and a movie. It was a sweet time of fellowship. Pray for God to use these young men mightily as they go back home and prepare for their next step in their education.
4. Dale preached at the Mbarara Church of Christ last Sunday . . . and will preach again at All Saints Church on July 24th. This has been a busy season of preaching and teaching for Dale – pray that he will have the time to prepare well for this next sermon — that God would use it to bring people to faith in Christ and also to help Christians to grow in their walk with Jesus.
5. We praise God that the translation of a Sunday school curriculum in Runyankole is almost ready for printing. This has been a project that Kathy has been involved with for a couple of years now (she did not do the translation, but has organized the project). We praise God that the book will finally be in the hands of Sunday school teachers.
Thanks again for your prayers. God bless you!
