Children

Children | Ministries at Redeemer

Children are a precious gift from the Lord.  Children are very welcome at Redeemer and our church family seeks to work with parents in raising  godly children who believe in Jesus as their Savior and who will serve Him wholeheartedly.

Nursery:  Ages 0-3

Nursery is available for both infants and toddlers in the east wing of the church during all worship services and Sunday school. Our top priority is caring for and loving the children entrusted to us in a safe and secure environment, allowing their parents to participate fully in the life of the church.  For two- and three-year-old children, a brief Sunday school lesson and craft time are provided during the Sunday school hour because we are convinced that it is never too early to begin teaching the Bible to our children.

Children’s Ministries:  Ages 4 – 12

Children ages 4-12 have several programs provided for them:

Children’s Sunday School:  Redeemer is dedicated to raising godly men and women, beginning with the earliest years of life. With that in mind, we provide some of the best Sunday School material each week for our children, using Great Commissions Publications.  Our children’s Sunday School runs concurrently with the adult Sunday School hour (9:45 – 10:35 a.m.). Most of the children’s classes are located on the second floor of the west wing of the church. Greeters in the Gathering Area, located on the first floor of the west wing, will guide you and your children to the age-appropriate classrooms.

Pioneer Clubs: Pioneer Clubs is a national organization dedicated to evangelism and to training children in the Word of God.  Our Pioneer Clubs meet, during the school year, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Pioneer Clubs is a fun, creative, learning time where lasting friendships are made.

Tutoring:  After school tutoring is available during the school year on Wednesday afternoons for children in kindergarten through grade 6.  After tutoring, twice a month, children are invited to stay for dinner at the church and then to attend Pioneer Clubs.

Vacation Bible School:  One of the church’s favorite weeks of the year is Vacation Bible School.  It is held in the evenings in a week in early June.  We use the wonderful Bible-centered materials from VBS Reachout Adventures.
