In 1997 Mike became the pastor of Pinelands Presbyterian Church, a multi-ethnic church, serving there for seven years.
In 2004, Mike, with Keren and their three children, moved to Jackson where he assumed the role of organizing pastor and then senior pastor of Redeemer Church. Mike has a passion for impacting all people with the truths of the Reformed faith and the life changing power of the gospel.

Steve Lanier | Assistant to the Pastor
A native of Rome, Georgia, and a graduate of Darlington High School and Shorter College, both in Rome, Steve has been involved in Christian ministry for virtually his entire life.
After college, he remained in collegiate life by serving as a campus pastor with Youth for Christ. It was during this time that he met Sherry, a native of Atlanta and a graduate of Belhaven College. The two were married in 1977, and moved to Jackson the following year to continue their ministry with Youth for Christ in the local schools.
Steve later earned a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary. This opened up opportunities to work as a therapist with teens and their families and to work as a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Most recently, Steve served as the Director of Outreach & Missions at Trinity Presbyterian Church; he now continues that ministry as Assistant to the Pastor at Redeemer Church.
In addition to his responsibilities at Redeemer, Steve also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Belhaven College where he teaches a Youth Ministry class. Steve and Sherry have one daughter, Mandy, who inherited her parents’ passion for winning over others to Christ by demonstrating His love for them. She is a graduate of Belhaven College, where she met her husband, Brad Bailey. Brad and Mandy have given the Laniers one grandson.

Ryan Dean | Director of Student Ministries
Ryan Dean was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, by Christian parents who taught him to know and love the Lord. He attended college at the University of Georgia and graduated in 2003 with a degree in English. It was during his college years that Ryan first began working in the local church and sensing God’s call on his life to ministry. It was also during this time that he met and fell in love with Leslie, whom he married after graduation.
Ryan served Christ Church in Stone Mountain, GA for six years in the areas of Youth and Worship. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary-Atlanta in June 2009. It was through seminary that God began forming in Ryan a heart for multi-ethnic, city-based, Gospel-centered ministry. He and Leslie are delighted that God has given them the opportunity to live out that heart at Redeemer, where he has served as Director of Youth Ministry since October 2009.
Ryan and Leslie are blessed with one son, Evan.
